Taqueria Maya: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Sacramento

Walked in with an appetite and left completely content. Ordered the Molcajete for 2 and it was really for 4. It was delicious but so much good food, ended up talking half home. Caldo de Res was also a hit with this cold weather. Paired this deliciousness with cocktails, flan & cajeta churros. When I return to the area, I will be back..

Took friends from Ecuador for some tacos and absolutely loved it! Of course I have been many times and enjoyed each visit

Food is just as good as we remember from last time. The prices have changed. And we do understand the cost of running a business, overhead, and inflation. The portion sizes just didn’t reflect the amount of food that we had. Even though the food was fantastic. We only had three tacos. Each one was approximately $4 before tax and tip. Will try the chicken taco, all Pastor Taco, and the Carnitas taco. All 3 tacos were excellent. We also appreciated the free tortilla chips and assortment of salsa. The meat was flavorful. The herbs, spices, toppings, and tortillas made a beautiful and harmonious combination for your tastebuds. We entered on a Saturday afternoon and we saw the grill / griddle on while an employee was making fresh sopes. The smell resembled that your granny fresh corn tortillas on the weekend mornings. Other than the price and a few adjustments that can be made to the decor, it was an overall great experience. Great food, quick service.

The food here is really good, although the prices have gone up in the last few years. The atmosphere is very low key, which is very calming. There is an outdoor patio, but it doesn't look like pets are allowed. Did I mention that the food is really good?! Portions are huge, too. They have a bathroom for customers, which is not the case with all restaurants on Broadway.

First Timer and will definitely return. Note: Sundays Mariachi Group. Check out....Amazing. Had Pozoli...2 sizes...Delicious!

Was in town for work & just Wow! This spot completely blew me away! The food is authentic, flavorful, and super affordable. I ordered the special which had a taco, enchilada, rice, and beans and everything tasted fresh and delicious. But the real star? The Caguama Michelada (familiar-size beer) absolutely insane! I didn’t even know that was a thing, and it was so worth it. They also have a full bar and the drinks are great, strong and not skimpy! The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations, portions were generous, and prices were unbeatable. A perfect local gem for amazing Mexican food, great drinks, and chill vibes. Definitely coming back!

This is a great neighborhood Mexican food restaurant. The residents in this area sure have a gem. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The restaurant is clean and lots of couples were in here eating food on a Friday night. This place also boasts a pretty nice bar although I don't drink. The gordita was awesome and I think everybody should try it. It's nothing like Taco Bell. The salsa was also good they kept it cold in a cold bar. And they have authentic old school kitchen hardware such as a milling stone and milling bowl. If you're nearby and you're looking for a great place to eat look no more you have found it.
